JS - She Has My Heart 5

Disclaimer: I do not own the Pens! I only own Lys and the plot. Enjoy the this chapter :)
Congrats to the Pens for winning the series!!!
***

Playoffs started on Wednesday. The first two games were at home. I knew Lys couldn’t make it to both so I asked her if she would come down to Friday’s game and then spend the night.
“I’d love to spend the night but the girls and I have Spring Fest the next day. I have to work the Ad Club booth.” She told me on the phone.
“Aww you’re last Spring Fest. Well I’ll come up with you if you want me too. Our plane is not leaving until Saturday night.”
“Sure babe it’s up to you. Why don’t ask a couple of the guys to join you because I’ll working the booth.”  She said. “I’m not if Alex and Natale told their men or not.” She then laughed.
“What’s so funny?”
“Well I think Ad Club is selling tickets for a Pens basket but wouldn’t be cool if you Sid and Geno just signed autographs and we’d charge like 5 bucks per person, how much money do you think Ad Club would make?”
“A shit ton! I’m up for it! Anything to help out your club sweetie.”
“Aww thanks baby, I’ll email Brittany the president and see what she says.”
“Okay you do that! I’ll see what coach and other people here think.”
“Awesome! Thanks for putting up with my somewhat spontaneous idea!” she told me. “But I have class now! I love you! And have an amazing game! I’ll be cheering for you here!”
“Thanks darling! I’ll call you after! I love you!”  We hung up the phone and I made my way to the arena. We got suited up and started to play. Tonight was not our night. We kept closing the gap. But the Senators were always one point in front of us. We ended up losing the game 5-4 I just wanted to call Lys.
“Hey great game, I love the way you use your body!” I laughed into the phone. “Oh I can’t help but giggle when the announcers talk about your “big stick”” We burst into laughter. “I think that’s why I like hockey so much, it’s so perverted.”
“Just like you!” she laughed at what I said.
“Yes, although I’m not that bad! Not as bad some of you guys…Max to be exact.”  Just hearing her voice made everything alright. “Hey I talked to Brittany during class today. And she said that’d be cool if we knew them. Then I told her I was dating you, and babe I don’t think people actually believe me! So may be if you guys were still interested, have your agent or Sid’s agent contact her. “
“Sure thing babe, why don’t people believe you?”
“I mean well I don’t go around like bragging but I mean it’s Facebook Official!” I laughed at it being Facebook official. “So they should believe me!”
“Well I believe you!”
“Of course you believe me, darling! You are the one whom I love and am dating!”
“Aww I love you too!”
“Baby I’ve gotta get some rest! I love you and I’ll text you in the morning!” I kissed her through the phone before going to bed myself.

The plans were all set for the weekend! The girls were coming to the game Friday night and we were going to Spring Fest Saturday morning and then taking the plane from the Latrobe to Ottawa for Sunday’s game. Lys came down Thursday night because she doesn’t have class on Fridays to spend a little extra time with me. We left for the arena around three because you never knew what traffic was like and got there around four. I gave her a kiss and she went up to the box to be with the gals. The game started out kind of slow but Sid made a fantastic save in the 2nd period! The puck got behind Fleury and Sid hit the puck away when it was inches from the red line. After getting it away he played it in the Ottawa zone and set up Tanger for the game winning goal!  It was a spectacular play! We ended up winning the game and tying the series at 1. I heard our girls voices coming down the hall way. Each one went to their respective man and kissed him.
“What a physical game! Is Jordan okay?” Lys asked me. Jordan Leopold was hit by Ottawa defenseman Andy Sutton.
“I don’t know. I think they are still examining him. They just want make sure he is okay because it was an injury to the head.”
“Aww, I hope he’s alright.” I pulled her into a hug and kissed the top her head. Then Geno approached us.
“Lys I am excited to visit you school tomorrow.” He said.
“I’m excited that yinz are coming! The best part is people just know its three penguin players. They don’t it’s you!” she explained. Then Natale came over.
“They really don’t know?” Lys shook her head, “Everyone is going to be so surprised!”
“I can’t wait to see the look on their prices. Lys you better have your camera ready!” Sidney called over.
“Wait what’s going on?” Max came over and asked us.
“We are going to the girl’s school to sign autographs and Lys just informed us that no one knows which penguins are going.” I explained.
“Ah yes they will definitely be in for a surprise!”
“If you would like to join, Max I’m sure they won’t mind.” Alex told him.
“What time?”
“It starts at 12 and takes about an hour to get there.”
“Oh thanks but no thanks, I’ll pass this time. I’m supposed to go out for a bit and don’t really want to get up that early! But you guys have fun!” he said. We all said our goodbyes. Lys and I headed back to the apartment and soon fell asleep.

I woke up to the shower running. I turned over a read the clock on my night stand, 8:11. We weren’t leaving till about 10 but agreed to meet the rest of the gang for brunch in Latrobe. She came out of the shower in nothing but a towel.
“Hey baby, I’m sorry did I wake you?” she kissed me good morning. I shook my head no. “Good I came out to see if you were awake so I can blow dry my hair.” She then walked back in the bathroom and I rolled over falling back asleep until 9. It was my turn to get showered and ready. We left the house about 9:50 to make our way to get some food.
We met Geno, Alex, Sidney and Natale at the local Eat n Park. It was a quick and delicious meal before we headed over to the school. There we met with the ad club president, Brittany and a couple ad club members.
“Wow I wasn’t going to believe until it happened!” Brittany said. “Welcome!” she smiled.
“Where are we going to set them up?”
“Here, we got the extra table for them and the benches.” She said.
“We can have the line go out toward the road that way it won’t bother the other clubs. Also, we can quiz them on our logos and sell the raffle tickets while they wait.” Katherine, another member of the group said.
“OMG!” a boy let that out.
“Hey Tony, this is my boyfriend Jordan. Jordan this is a fellow ad club member, Tony.” Lys introduced us. I reached my out to shake it.
“Nice to meet you,” I told him.
“Same here, can I have your autograph?”
“5 bucks and you get all three.”  Brit told him. Then he looked to see who the other two were.
“I’ll be right back.”
“Looks like this is going to work,” Katherine exclaimed.
“Alright I am going to work at my booth.” Alex turned to leave but Geno grabbed her arm and gave her a kiss before she could leave. But her booth wasn’t far away. It was on the other side of the pathway.
“Nat, do you think you can stay here with me?”
“Sure! I don’t have a booth to be at.”
“Thanks babe.” Sid kissed her on the lips and took the seat on the end. Then Geno sat next to him and me next to him.
“I’ll collect the money if you would like?” Lys asked Brittany. She better say yes. I don’t want her to leave me.
“Sure,” she handed Lys an envelope and she popped her butt next to me. Missy, another girl involved with group and Katherine put a sign out in front the table.
“So who are the penguins that we got?” an older looking man asked Brittany. Then his eyes wondered down the table. “Holy crap!”
“I know! Alyssa is dating Jordan Staal.”
“How come you never mentioned it?” she just shrugged.
“Mr. Robinson I am dating Jordan Staal.” Ah! He must be a professor.
“Ok I’m back!” that Tony kid stated. He handed Lys a five and got us to sign a picture and his jersey. Lys, of course, had at least 500 pictures of each of us printed out that she had taken. “Thank you!” After Tony left the table, so many other kids started to form a line. It neared close to two and we where suppose to be done at that time so we could catch our plane.
“Hey Nat, can you go down and stand at the end of the line and make sure no one else gets in?” Lys asked her about ten till two. Natale agreed and walked down. People were still swarming.
“Hey sweetie I still have a bunch of pictures left.” I told her. She sat in thought then screamed down the table.
“Hey guys sign the left over pictures. I’ve got an idea.” We all did what we were told and handed them down to Lys. “Hey Brittany, after you pull the raffle ticket may be pull about 10 more and each them a set of autographs.”
“That’s a good idea! Thank you!”
“Oh and there are ones in there for you guys too! We are going to head out!”
“Okay, thank you for all your help!” Lys told them no problem. Then we posed with them for a picture and said our goodbyes.
“You are so smart.” I kissed her as we were walking out. Just then Natale got separated from Sidney by a crazy group of girls!
“OMG You are so amazing! I love you! Sidney will you marry me? You are the best!” was heard from the screaming girls. They were jumping up and down. Basically, they were annoying.
“EVERYONE BACK UP!” screamed Natale. Who knew she had it in her? The girls looked at her stunned and backed away. Sidney grabbed Natale’s hand and walked around the girls. The girls started to say something to me.
“Don’t even think about it.” Lys stared at them and we made our way to the car.
“Natale you were amazing!” Alex told her. She blushed.
“I just got really upset by the stuff they were saying, I really don’t know what came over me.”
“I love you for it!” Sid said and kissed her cheek.
“I love you too!” Lys then turned to me.
“Don’t make any goals in the first period because I won’t be able to watch it. Alex and I have the Best Buddies Dance.” She smiled. I knew she was kidding about not scoring but the dance was true.
“Tell Melanie I said hi!” Melanie is her buddy. The Best Buddies Organization pairs individuals with mental disabilities with college students. I think the organizations different levels within it so that not just people in college can be a buddy, Alex explained it to us one time but I forgot. Lys has been Melanie’s buddy for two years now. And Alex has been with her buddy Maria all four years! “Have fun, I love you!”
“I love you, too! Have a great flight. Text me when you land!”She told me.  We stepped into the car and drove to the airport.

JS - She Has My Heart - Chapter 4

Disclamier: Yet again I do not own the Pens or Caps. I do own Lyssa and the plot!
LET'S GO PENS!!! Beat the Sens tonight :)
***

I didn’t sleep well that night and I felt sick all day Thursday but I needed to perform my best for the last home game at the Mellon Arena. All the old players would be there to celebrate. It was a very important day. I pulled into the arena around four. I was one of the first players in there and in the locker room.
“Bye good luck!” I heard Natale’s sweet voice tell Sid. They kissed and he turned to come into the room.
“Hey man, how are you?” he asked me.
                “Horrible.”
“I found out where Lys went to this weekend.” My eyes lit up and I looked at him. “She went to visit her cousins in Virginia.”
“Cody and Cyd.” Sid nodded. “She loves those kids. It’ll be good to clear her head there.” I felt a little better knowing that she was with her relatives. I suited up and got ready for the pregame show. Everything went smoothly! And it was onto the game! We ended beating the Islanders 7-3. It was a sweet victory. We did interviews, got showered and headed down Mario’s. Alex even joined us for a bit! It was a good night but I was not feeling like being there. I wanted to be celebrating with my special someone.  “Hey I’m going to head back home.”
“You sure?” Max asked me. “We can take the party back there for a bit.”
“I mean if you want to come over you guys can.”
“To Jordan’s!” We each bought a few six-packs and headed to my house. There was Natale, Sidney, Max, Tyler, and Kris. We were flipping through the channels when I saw the rerun of the game on FSN.
“Hey you know what Lys likes to do on away games.” Natale asked. Why must she keep bringing her up? “She likes to play a drinking game!” Natale explained us the rules. Ever person playing gets two players and whenever the announcers say their players name they take a sip beverage of choice. If your player is in a fight then you have to drink til it’s over. And if your player scores a goal you have to drink for 10 secs.  We all picked ourselves and someone else, I had Malkin. Sid had Gonchar. Max had Goligoski. Tyler had Fleury. And lastly, Kris had Fedatanko. Natale, on the other hand had Eaton and Ponikarosky. It was a shit show! Everyone got so drunk playing this game so they stayed the night. It was great night and I only wished Lys could have been here.

We were headed to Atlanta for our first of two road games, the last two road games of the regular season. We flew in the night before the game on Saturday. Geno was my roommate this trip and he was in the shower while I was flipping through the channels when I came across the news. I saw Lys and Ovechkin leaving the Caps game. He had an arm draped over her shoulder as they walked out. Damn her!!! I went over to Sid and Max’s room till Malkin was done.
“She went to DC to see him.”
“Ovechkin?” Max asked and Sid just nodded.
“It was on the news!” I slumped in the chair. “How could she do this to me?”
“There must be a logical explanation.” Sidney started to say. “I mean she went to see her cousins so why would she see him?” I reached for my phone.
“Don’t text her.” Max told me.
“He’s right; she’ll respect you for keeping her request for not contacting her.”
“But when will she contact me?”
                “She said when she’s ready.”
“But I can’t concentrate without her!”
“You are going to have to Jordan. Why don’t you go get some rest? Try not to think about her too much.”
“I’m sure Geno would cuddle with you.” Max joked.
“But I’m not sure Alex would approve.” I said and smiled at the guys. “See you later.” I went back to the room and realized that Geno was talking to Alex on the phone so when he was off I told him what I saw.
“I’m sure it was nothing. Lys loves you Jordan. And you are more cute than Alex. Ovechkin I mean, not my Alex. No one is more cute than my Alex.” He told me. My friends are the best.

The next day the game was horrible. We couldn’t even get on the board. I knew I was not playing my best but the whole team was just off today. The Thrashers dominated us.  But we didn’t have time to dwell we were on a plane to Long Island. Lys would love to be here. She loves New York City. She would love to move here. I would love to be with her. We got to the hotel late that night.
“You play good today but not best.” Geno said to me. I hung my head.
“I know. But I just can’t stop thinking about her and Ovechkin.” I replied sitting on the end of the hotel bed.
“Lys would not do anything to hurt your relationship. Beside you know they are friends! How many times do they have to hang out? Not as much as before.” He was right. They were just good friends. I fell asleep knowing that she wouldn’t do anything to compromise the relationship. But I just hope she knows I’m sorry and will take me back.

I woke up early the next morning in a sweat. I had a dream that Lys was killed on her way home and Ovechkin was the last person to see her alive. He told Lys that he loved her. And she told him that she loved him and she wished that they could have spent the rest of their lives together. It was a crazy dream and I needed to clear my head before the game so I took a taxi into the city. I wish she was here. I think I want to buy Lys something. I know she’s always wanted a Coach purse so maybe I’ll head there. I was dropped off near the store on Madison Avenue. The store wasn’t busy at all when I walked in and was greeted by an associate.
“Hello welcome! How can I help you?”
“I’m shopping for my girlfriend.” I told her before she had a chance to ask. I really didn’t want to spend all day in here nor did I have the time.
“Aw how sweet. Do you know what style or colors she likes?” Crap! What kind did she say it was?
“I can’t remember the kind but she tends to like larger bags, and her favorite color is purple.” I told the young lady.
“I have something in mind. Please follow me.” So I followed the blonde hair green eyed girl toward the middle of the store. She pointed out a purple tote bag. Lys would like that. I’m sure of it.
“I’ll take it.”
“Great! Would you like to add a wallet or wristlet?” I shrugged.
“Sure. Can you add that pink one?” I pointed. It seemed to match.
“Yep! Let me ring this up for you.” I followed her to register. “Your total is 344.87.” I handed her my credit card. “There you are if you can please just sign. Hey aren’t you that hockey player?” she asked.
“Yep,” I replied.
“Your brother plays for the Rangers.”
“He does.”
“Cool, can I have your autograph?” Where was Lys and her secret stash of pictures of me when you needed her? Oh right with Ovechkin.  She handed me a piece of printer paper and a pen. I looked up and read her name tag to personalize it. “Wow! Thank you!” She then handed me my purchase. “You’re girlfriend is a lucky girl.” She said. Ha – I’m the lucky one to be with her.
“Thank you for your help. Have a nice day.” I walked out of the store and waited for a cab. I rode the half hour back to the hotel.
“What did you do?” Geno asked me when I walked in the room.
“What do you mean?”
“What did you buy?”
“Oh nothing just a purse for Lys.” I then heard a knock on the door and opened it to find Sid and Max.
“Did you go into the city?” Sidney asked me. I shook my head yes.
“And your shopping in girls stores now?” joked Max. I just laughed
“He bought purse for Lys.” Geno spilled. Sidney gave me that eye while Max took the bag from my hand.
“I don’t know. This purple goes well with your eyes.”  I took the purse from his hand and put it back in the bag.
“Well we came to see if you wanted to get some breakfast in the lobby before heading to arena.” Sidney said.
“Yea sounds fine.” We went down ate and then came back to the rooms to change in our suits before getting a cab to take it to the arena. Well Max, Geno and I did. Sidney got to ride in a special car.
We started out the game great and had a 3 goal lead but the Islanders caught up in the third to tie it. But we ended up winning in overtime 6-5. It was then on a plane back home. I couldn’t wait to sleep in my bed. Once home I put the purse in the closet and unpacked my suit before changing into something more comfortable. I sat on the edge of the bed and took the picture off my night stand to take a closer look. It was of Alyssa. It was one of my favorite pictures of her. We had gone to her church members going away party at his friend’s house in Mt. Washington. The picture was her with the Pittsburgh skyline behind her at night. It was gorgeous! Just then I heard my phone go off. It was a text from Geno. He wanted to tell me that Lys made it safely back and she was at school. I was glad she didn’t get killed. My phone went off again. I looked down and read the name ‘Lys.’ My heart skipped a beat. She asked if we could meet tomorrow to talk. I replied and told yes that I’d come out to get her. She reminded me that she had class until 4:15 so I would pick her up around 4:30. I couldn’t wait to see her! I texted Sid and told him what happened. I was so excited that I feel into a deep sleep dreaming of my baby!

The next day I put the present in the car and drove to her college to pick her up at 430. As I was waiting for Lys to come down I saw Alex pull in.
“Hey Alex, what’s up?” I called to her from the Cadillac.
“Hey Jordan, just got back from school you?”
“Waiting for Lys.”
“Oh well she should be-“ Alex didn’t even finish her sentence because Lys came up behind her and gave her a hug.
“How was school?”
“Good! I’ll talk to you later though. Have fun!” Alex gave me a hug through the window and then Lys but she climbed in the car. She looked gorgeous. She was wearing her green chucks, jeans, and a pink t-shirt. Her brown hair hung loosely around her face and she wore just a bit of make-up.
“Where would you like to eat?”
“Eat n Park is fine.” She told me. “So how are you?”
“Better.” I smiled at her. We drove the short distance to the restaurant and we quickly seated. “How was your weekend?” I asked hoping to hear about her time with Ovechkin.
“It was good. I missed my cousins.” I nodded and before I apologized I dug myself into a bigger hole.
“Have fun with Ovechkin?” I asked.
“How did you know about that?”
“You were on the news.” She didn’t know what to say. “Why did you go out with him?”
“Well Jordan, Alex is my friend might I remind you so I can hang out with him whenever. And did you not see Cody and Cydney were there with me!? I had texted Alex to tell him I was going to be in town and he asked if I wanted to attend the game. And I asked if I could bring my cousins and he said yes he would love to see them again. So he gave us tickets. And he took us home that night. That’s pretty much all that happened.”
“What do you mean pretty much?”
“Well he, Nikolas and I went to a bar Saturday night.”
“And?”
“I got drunk and I kissed Alex. But I swear Jordan that is all I did! You know how I get when I drink, all cuddly and touchy feely.” Now I didn’t know what to say to her. “I’m sorry.”
“Well I am sorry too. I should have never struck you. And I am sorry for getting mad about Ovechkin.” I reached over and grabbed her hand. “I forgive you for kissing him.”
“I forgive you for hitting me,” I smiled. “I know that you didn’t mean and won’t do it again.” I rubbed her hand. I know I won’t ever put our relationship in that position again.
“I missed you and couldn’t concentrate without. Let’s not fight again, like this.”
“I watched your games sweetie, you sucked.” She laughed. Just then our waiter came over, it was Bliss one of Lys’ friends from school. She was sweet. Lys and I made it easy for her and we got the salad bar.
“Alright help yourselves whenever you’re ready.” She told us and we got up to fill our plates. Lys told me more about her weekend with her cousins and I with how the guys made fun of me. We shortly finished up and I paid the bill.
“Can I get my St. Vincent discount?” she asked the cashier. It was only a few dollars less but I learned not to argue. “Thank you baby,” She told me and kissed me on the cheek. We walked out to my car. I opened her door, the trunk then handed her the present. “What’s this?” she looked at me.
“Open it. I bought when I was in NYC.” I told her and her eyes lit up as she threw the tissue paper from the bag. I heard a shriek.
“OMG JORDAN! THIS IS AMAZING! YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE!!!” she lunged herself forward and kissed me on the lips.
“I take it you like it” I stated.
“Like it? I LOVE it!” she kissed me again. “Thank you so much baby.” She backed away and pulled something out of her purse. “Okay so here’s my present, it’s not wrapped or expensive but I hope you like it.” I took the CD case from her hands. It was a mix of all the songs we had inside jokes about and songs that just reminded her of me.
“I love this! This is the best present anyone can ask for!”  I kissed her. “Thank you.” I knew what I was listening to on the ride home.  I rode her back to her dorm and stayed there for a bit just making up the lost weekend.

JS - She Has My Heart - Chapter 3

Disclaimer: I do not own the Pens or anything affiliated with them.Nor the Washington Capitals.  Alex and Natale also own themselves. I only own Lys and the plot. Enjoy!!!

“I haven’t seen him since high school.” She continued and proceeded to get out of the car. She walked into line. “Hey Jordan.” The tall guy in front of her turned around.
“Hey Lyssa.” He called her. “How are you?”
“I’m doing well, how are you?”
“Same stuff just a different day.”
“This is my boyfriend, Jordan.” I shook his hand.
“It’s nice to meet you.” I agreed. “Don’t you play for the Penguins.”
“Yes I do.”
“That’s cool. Good luck. I know play offs are coming up!”
“Thanks man.” It was then his turn to order.
“Well it was nice seeing you Lys and nice meeting your Jordan.”
“Take care!” and now we ordered. Lys got an Oreo and m&m flurry while I got a chocolate dip cone. She paid with cash and I took a lick of the ice cream. It was good! We decided to sit on the bench on the side of the building and eat our ice cream because it was such a nice day. She then started to laugh. “I just thought of something… do you know what his last name is?” I shook my head no. “Stull spelled s-t-u-l-l. And you’re Staal but different.” She laughed. It was pretty funny so I joined in.
“This is excellent ice cream babe.” I stated when I was finished with my cone.
“See I told ya!” she smiled and I kissed her. We got back in the car and drove to my house. We finished the night cuddling and watching a movie.

The next day we had a game down the Mellon against the Thrashers. They were a decent team to play. We woke up, went to breakfast and headed to the arena. We were there by 11. I pulled in right next to Geno’s white Porsche. He and Alex stepped out of the vehicle.
“Hey guys!” Lys greeted and hugged both. She and Alex started talking about something school related when we talked about that day’s game. When we reached the locker room we kissed our girls goodbye. They were heading up to the special box seating. I needed to concentrate on the game ahead. If we won today then we eliminate the chances of the Thrashers gaining a play-off spot. We need to do that. Coach Dan Blysma gave us a pep talk and told us what to watch out for and the normal stuff. Then Sid said something straight to the point.
“Stay focus and win!” We went out and gave it our all beating the Thrashers in overtime 4-3.  I was in the locker room getting changed when I heard the girl’s voices down the hall.
“We are leaving to go back to Cleveland right now.”
“Are you flying or driving?” asked Alex
“Flying. It’ll be faster.”
“Aww well have a safe trip and text us when you get there.” Lys said.
“You too Alex! Hope you and Geno have a safe flight to Virginia.” Natale told her.
“Thank you.”
“Hey I’ll see you guys, have a happy Easter.” Sid told us and went to meet up with Natale. I heard more goodbyes exchanged before Lys and Alex entered the room.
“Ready to go, hun?” Geno asked Alex. She nodded.
“See you Lys.” The girls hugged.
“Please don’t forget to text me. Geno will you remind her, please.”
“Of course! But sorry if I forget too.” He replied. I chuckled. He was such a character.
“See you guys later.” I told them as they left.
“Jordan, are you headed home as well?”  Max approached us.
“Nah, I’m spending time with Lys and her family this Easter.”  I replied and wrapped my arm around her waist. I was still sitting on the bench.
“Cool do you guys wanna head down to Mario’s and get a bit to eat?” I glanced at Lys and she nodded yes. We headed down there with the Max and couple of the guys. It was a nice way to celebrate the victory and spend time with friends. Back at my apartment Lys insisted on playing a board game. We played Monopoly. Let me tell you, she is good at that game and she won. We ended the night with a little loving before fall asleep in each other’s arms.
We woke up fairly early to get ready for church. It was at least a 45 minute drive but it’s Sunday so I can probably make it in 30 minutes. Once there we were greeted by her grandmother and various members of the church.
“Oh Jordan I forgot to tell you, the congregation is getting a group photo after service to put in the 100th anniversary book, could you please take it for us?” I told her I didn’t mind at all. We then chatted with the Reverend before taking our seats. After communion and worship service we gathered outside in front of the church. I took a couple of pictures and then went inside to take the council member photo. All turned out nice. For Easter dinner this year, Cathy got tickets to eat on the Gateway Clipper. It was back to Pittsburgh we went. I offered to drive so we piled into the Cadillac and headed down to Station Square. The food was delicious, the sites were amazing but company was the best!
Once we were back at home I just held her on the couch while we watched Extreme Makeover Home Edition.
“I love you. Thank you for inviting me to spend time with your family on Easter.”
“You’re welcome and I love you more!”
“No I love you more!” I started to tickled. We had a tickle fight until the show came back on. Sadly she had to leave tomorrow. She needed to be back at school for a meeting with her Global Marketing Group. “Hey I won’t see you tomorrow, will I?”
“No babe I don’t think so. I was planning on leaving here around one.” I gave her a puppy dog eyes. “But I’ll see you for the game on Tuesday!” she kissed my lips. That she would! I love spending as much time as I can with her. We finished the show and headed to bed with one thing on our minds. It was a great ending to a marvelous weekend.

In the morning I let her sleep as I got ready for practice then kissed her lips before I left. She texted me in the afternoon saying that she made it back to school safely that she’d call me that night. That night I asked if she wanted me to have car come get her for the game.
“That would be lovely Jordan, thank you! Save me some money on gas.” It was settled the car was coming at 4 seeing as she got out of class at 3:45. “See you tomorrow baby. I love you!”

She arrived at the arena around 5 and came straight to wish me good luck. She kissed me on the cheek before she headed up to the box. The game was brutal. Ovechkin was a hitting machine checking players across the rink. We needed to win this game if we wanted any chance of a division title. We played our hardest but it just was not good enough. The Capitals won, 6-3. I was walking into the locker room when I saw Lys farther up in the corridor but then she was stopped by him.
“Hey Alyssa” I heard Ovechkin stopped Lys on her way to the locker room. I made eye contact with her.
“Great game!” they exchanged hugs and he kissed her on the cheek. I saw her blush. She started to make her way toward me but I just looked away and headed into the locker room. Their voices traveled down the corridor.
“Thanks Lys. Hey why don’t you come see the guys, I’m sure Nikolas would like to see you.” He said to her. I’m sure Backstrom would like to see her. They almost dated!
“Well Jordan normally takes a shower now so I guess I will.” Damn her for knowing my schedule and for going with Ovechkin! How can she stand talking to him after they way that he beats up players?
“Jordan, what’s up man?” I heard Max’s voice. I looked over to see him just in a towel and hair dripping wet. “Where’s Lys?”
“With Ovechkin.” I hastily stood up and removed my gear before heading to the shower. She still was not back by the time that I was done so I changed back into my suit I had worn earlier in the day.
“Have a safe drive back Alex.” I heard her voice.
“Thanks, you call me the next time you are in town.”
“Will do.” She then waved goodbye and turned into the locker room. I quickly looked away from the door. “Hey baby.” She kissed my cheek. “Awesome game despite the loss.” She said. ‘Awesome game?’ I thought. ‘We played horribly! Our timing was off and everything, it sucked.” I mumbled a thanks and gathered my things before heading for the door. Lys didn’t say another word and just followed.
“Jordan, Jordan, Staal, I love you,” Were heard from the screaming fans outside the arena. I just walked to the Cadillac with Lys in tow. We climbed in and rode in silence back to the apartment.
“Jordan I’m sorry about your loss.” I don’t know what happened to me but that set me off.
“Do you think sorry is going to bring back our chance of the Division title? No! Do you think it’ll bring back the game we just played? No! Do you think it’ll be enough after you hung out with Ovechkin? NO!”
“You know I’m friends with him and the team why would that be a problem?”
“He’s the rivalry, Lys. You do not fraternize with the other team.”
“Well, gee sorry for having friends on other teams.” She spat at me. We glared at each other. I could feel the anger building up inside. I do not know what I was more of, angry because we lost the game or jealous because she spent time with Ovechkin.  “I’m sorry for you loosing the title and for the game but I’m not sorry for hanging out with Alex. He is my friend and I can hang out with whom I choose.” That did it. I raised my hand and slapped her across the face. As soon as my hand made contact I wanted to take it back.
“Lys I’m so sorry.” I told her and went to give her a hug, but she backed away. “I never meant to do that.”
“Jordan, I’m leaving.” She was trembling and crying gathering her purse.
“You’re in no condition to drive.” I somehow managed to convince her to stay. I offered her the bed but she just took the couch. I tossed and I turned that night. I even texted Sid at some point but he must have been sleeping. Somewhere in between the hours of 2 and 3 am I fell asleep. I woke around 7 hoping to kiss and make up with Lys but I noticed a note on my bed stand.

Dear Jordan,
I’m sorry. I couldn’t stay here any longer. I’m going to clear my head this weekend so I will not be at Thursday game. Good luck, though. Please do not try to contact me. I will contact you when I am ready.
                                                                                                                                                Lys
                                P.S. I don’t feel right wearing this.

I looked down to see the necklace I had given her weeks prior. I started to break down and cry. I didn’t want to lose her. She is too valuable to me. It pained me not scoop her up in my arms and take her to bed with me last night. Where could she be going this weekend? I hope she’s alright. I needed to talk to someone and I dialed Sid’s number not caring if I woke up him. I needed to be with someone or I might do something stupid alone – without her. Sidney showed up 20 minutes later.
“What happened?” he asked when we sat on the couch. So I retold the horror story of last night. I even started to get choked up a bit.
“Where do you think she’s gone?”
“I don’t know but she’s not wearing her necklace.” Sid didn’t even know what to say. “Why don’t you call Alex or Natale, maybe they know where.” He suggested.
“See I knew you were here for a reason.” I picked up my phone to dial Alex’s number. “Wait what’s today?” He answered with a Wednesday. I then glanced at the clock. Alex has school during the day. “Alex is student teaching during the day so I don’t want to call her.”
“Wait you said Alex teaches during the day.” I nodded. “Then what if Lys has class?”
“She does! And I know she will not skip her classes on any circumstance.” I smiled. “Sid, do you want to take a drive?”
“We can’t, we have practice. Besides the note said not to contact her.”
“But I need to know she is alright.”
“Check her twitter? I know she always updates.” I shrugged. I wanted to see her and make everything all better and apologize again. “Come on get showered I’ll drive you to practice.” I did that and tried not to let the fact that she was gone effect my performance but it did. Coach even noticed and asked what was wrong so I explained everything to him. All through practice I kept reliving the events, why did I hit her? There was no need to hit her. No need to worry about her and Ovechkin. She was coming home with me she always comes home with me…until now.

JS - She Has My Heart - Chapter 2

Disclaimer: I do not own the Pens or the Caps or anything hockey related. The only thing I own is the character Lys and the plot. so ENJOY! :)
***

After we made love she took a little nap and I decided I was going to cook her something for dinner.  I rummaged through my fridge to see what I had…not too much. I decided to make her just a simple pasta dish for the Italian genes in her! ‘Why don’t I have garlic bread?’ I thought. So I decided to run to the store to get a few extra ingredients. I was back within 20 minutes. I even stopped and got some wine at the state store. Thankfully she was still sleeping when I got back and I started to get everything ready.  I preheated the oven, turned the stove on to boil the water and went to go search for something in my closet. Lys stirred a little but didn’t fully wake. I returned to the kitchen the oven was ready and the water was starting to boil. I put the garlic bread in then went to set the table. I put a white table cloth over the small dining room table. I pulled a center piece of candles from the closet and placed them on the table then lit them. I found some more candles and placed them around the room and lit them as well. When I was done I poured the noodles into the boiling water and took the garlic bread out of the oven. I then placed another pot on the stove and pour some sauce in it to let it warm up. Next, I went over to the table to set the wine glasses and dinnerware and then proceeded to stir my spaghetti.  I heard her voice moments later.
“This smells delicious. I love it!” I turned to see her hair tasseled from the nap and she wore just one of my t-shirts again. I kissed her lips before I turned to drain the pasta. “Thank you so much sweetie.”  She smiled that adorable smile.
“You’re welcome. Why don’t you go have a seat and I’ll be over with the food.” She nodded but grabbed the plate of garlic bread and made her way over. She then saved me a trip by returning with our dishes. I filled them up with spaghetti and sauce before she took them back to the table. “Oh I almost forgot the wine!” I opened the easy twist bottle cap and poured us each a half of glass.
“Jordan this is wonderful, but I feel so under dressed, maybe I’ll go put my pants on.” She started to stand up.
“Nonsense,” I stood up and took off my jeans. “Now we are even.” She giggled.
“You are just too good to me sweetheart! I love you.”
“I love you too. Mangi!” We dug into our dinner and started to talk about the plans for later tonight. “It should be a lot of fun!” I concluded. Then excused myself to get that item that I retrieved from the closet earlier. I placed it next her on the table by her garlic bread.
“What is this?”
“Open it.”  She set her fork down and carefully unwrapped the paper to reveal a long gray box. Inside the long gray box was a silver chain. On the end of the chain was a heart. And on the back of that heart was our initials engraved. “It’s so that when I’m not always around I can still be close to her heart.” I told her. I saw the tears to start to swell in her eyes. I took the necklace from her hand and put it on her. “Do you like it?”
“I love it Jordan, thank you so much!” she turned around to kiss me. “This is so special.”  She kissed me again.  We made out, finished our lukewarm dinner and changed for bowling.
At the alley, there were Tyler, Max, Sid, Natale, Geno and Alex, Lys’ roommate.
“Hey cous!” Tyler came and hugged Lys. It was a running joke between them. Lys’ mother’s maiden name is Kennedy so when they met she asked if Tyler was a long lost cousin and now it just stuck as a joke.
“Hey!” she replied then when to hug her friends. “I didn’t know you guys were coming.”

“Surprise,” Natale shouted. The girls laughed.

“So how do we want to play?” I asked.
“Boys versus girls?” suggested my gal, and then realized that the girls were outnumbered.
“I’ll play with them.”
“Awesome it’ll be the gals and Max versus the boys.” Natale commented. We each got our bowling shoes on and picked out our balls as well. The order of bowlers on my team went Sidney, myself, Geno and Tyler. For the girls it was Natale, Lys, Alex, and Max. Sidney started us off with a strike and so did Natale. Then Lys and I got strikes but Geno got a spare and as did Alex but Max and Tyler both got strikes. The game was off to a good but competitive start. After the first game the girls and Max won. Then it was our turn to win.
“This game decides it all fellows.” Lys stated.
“It feel like game seven.” Geno commented. We all laughed. It came down to the 10th frame. Max needed two strikes to win the game from us. Can he do it? He got one strike. Damn. And then…

“WAY TO GO MAX!” screamed Alex and every girl went to hug him! Max pulled it off just like he pulled off the game winning goal in game seven.

“Yea it feels like game seven now baby!” They were all smiles. It was a fun competitive game. I stole Lys’ camera from her purse and took a candid picture of them celebrating.
“Oh baby! Take a nicer one!” she called to me. “And then I need one of your team.” The gals and Max posed. Then she raced over to steal the camera and take a picture of the loosing team. We all acted sad. It made everyone laugh. “Ok now I want a picture of the boys!” Max joined the group and we all smiled. “Can you please take a picture of the girls for me?” she asked and handed me her pink camera. She and her two best friends posed. “Couples pictures!!! Max and Tyler first!” called Lys.
“Not more pictures.” Alex whined but knew she wasn’t going to win that battle. We all took couple pictures.
“Hey why don’t we get a group one?” suggested Tyler and ran off to ask another person. We took a group picture with the lanes behind us. It turned out cute according to Lys.
“I am craving milkshake. Anyone else?” Geno asked in his Russian accent and broken English. Of course Lys wanted to go! We decided to meet at Eat n Park. We pulled in and were the first ones there so we went to get a table.
“Hey aren’t you Jordan Staal?” the greeter asked.
“Yes I am.” Just then Sid and Natale walked in behind us. I thought the girl was going to faint.
“Table for 8 then?” she stumbled over her words and led us four back to a section behind the salad bar. “Wow!” she said when the rest of the gang showed up. “Your waiter-will be – will be right with you.” She bowed her head a little as if we were some kind of Gods. It amused me.
                “I want a strawberry milkshake!”
“No Lys, remember we have to try that new one.” Alex screamed over Geno.
“Well how bout when it’s just us. It’d be easier.” She smiled and Alex agreed. Then our waiter showed up and she was just as frazzled as the greeter. She took our drink orders which were three chocolate shakes, two vanilla shakes, two mocha java-somethings and one strawberry shake.
“Thanks I’ll be right back with them.”  I put my arm around my baby shoulders. She nuzzled closer to me. We launched into a good conversation. And then Max brought up the game on Tuesday against the Capitals.
“We need to win that game.” Tyler stated. He was right. If we wanted any chance of the division title we needed to beat the Caps.
“Lys do you want to come to the game?” I asked her.
“Yea I’d love to! Plus I’ll get to see Alex!” she smiled and I cringed. The Alex she was referring to was none other than Alexander Ovechkin. Lys had done an internship with the Washington Capitals. I want to say it was her spring semester sophomore year. She transferred down to a school in the DC area just so that she could take the opportunity. She got the internship because someone her Uncle knew, knew someone who knew someone who worked for the Caps. Anyway, she became friends with the team before I had laid eyes on her.  I remember that day like the back of my hand.
We were playing the Washington Capitals during a cold winter game in February of’08. I was running back to the locker because I had forgotten something when I had ran into her. I knocked a beautiful girl over and the papers that she had in her hands went flying.
“I am so sorry.” I told her as I helped her pick them up. I stopped and read one of them. They were flyers demoting our team. Well it was just for laughs because of our rivalry. “Did you make this?” I looked up and into her sparkling brown eyes.
“Yes but it pained me.” I gave her a puzzled look. “I’m from Pittsburgh but my Uncle got me this internship opportunity and well you’ve gotta start somewhere.” She smiled. She had a gorgeous smile. I handed her the stack that I gathered and our hands met. It felt like magic.
“I’m Jordan by the way.”
“Alyssa.” We shook hands and I helped her up. “Thanks for helping me pick all these up but I really must be going. Good luck tonight.” She smiled once more before continuing the direction she came.
“Jordan!” she nudged me as the waitress was handing me my chocolate milkshake.
“Sorry.” I grabbed it and started to eat. We all chit-chatted and made plans to go out after the last regular season game at the Mellon. Well everyone expect for Alex, who couldn’t stay out that late.
“See you guys later!” Lys hugged the guys in the parking lot then turned to hug her girls. “I’ll see yinz Saturday at the game right?!”
“See you then.” The girls said and went with their men. We walked to the Cadillac and I opened her door for her. She got in and the when I got in she leaned over to kiss me.
“Thank you for my milkshake.” She said.
“You’re welcome.” I told her. She put on a mix cd and we sang the whole way home. It was a great night.

The next morning while I was at practice Lys went home to spend time with her family. She was going to visit her grandmothers during the day and then meet up with her parents for dinner at the local restaurant. I’d meet her there as well. I pulled into the parking lot and noticed her mom’s ‘04 red Dodge Intrepid was parked in the back so I parked next to it. I walked in and saw her dad sitting on the bench, her mom standing and Lys running toward me. She greeted me with a hug and a kiss.
“Hey Jay, Cathy.” I shook her dad’s hand and gave her mom a hug.
“How are you Jordan?” Cathy asked me.
“I’m great. You look great.” Her mom recently lost a lot of weight! Go her!
“Thank you.” The greeter then showed us to our seats.
“Thanks Becca.” Jay told her. He’s always here and knows everyone. I noticed that there was an extra seat at our table.
“Grandma Nonie is coming,” Explained Lys reading my mind. Just then she walked through the door. I stood up to give her a hug as well.
“Nice to see you Jordan.” She told me.
“Nice to see you as well.” I smiled back at her. Then took our seats in the round booth. Becca came back with our drinks that we had ordered and took Grams order.
“Hey guys! How are you?” our waiter, Angela asked us. She and Lys grew up together. We all chatted for a bit before ordering. As usual, Lys got the shrimp. I was going to try there baked cod.
“It’s good.” Jay commented. Then we all started talking about the Pens, Lys’ graduation and other things while we enjoyed each other’s company. It was nice being with her family. They’ve always treated me well.
“Jordan, are you joining us at church this Sunday?” Grandma asked me.
“Yes I am!” the people at Lys’ were also always good to me. I love how comfortable I am around her and her family. I can definitely see myself with her for the rest of my life. She also fits in with my family when I get the chance to take her home. My mom just adores her and my brothers treat her like a little sister. She wrestles Jared and beat him once or twice.
“Well I will see you then.” She hugged me and then tried to give me a kiss on the cheek so I leaned down to her. Lys grabbed her to go container of pie and we all headed out the door.
“Ok so I got this to go because I want Mrs. Piekut’s ice cream.” I just looked at her.
“Jordan, she has the best ice cream in town!” Cathy exclaimed. Well if she does then I must try it.  We said our goodbyes and drove into her little town for the best ice cream. She told me where to park, on the side street of the corner parlor.
“Uh-oh.” Lys said. I glanced at her. “That’s my ex boyfriend.”

I quickly unlocked the door to my apartment anticipating seeing my girlfriend after a few weeks. I heard the TV playing as I walked in. I threw my keys on the end table and hung my jacket on the back of the chair. I walked into the living room and my eyes fell upon my beautiful girl. She was lying on the couch, curled up with her brown hair tasseled across the pillow that her head was resting on. I realized that she was sleeping. I reached for the remote on the coffee table and turned off the replay of the earlier Pittsburgh Penguins game. I set the remote back down and gently nudge her shoulder. She stirred and opened her eyes.
“Hey. Great game, baby.” She whispered as she stretched out.
“Thanks babe, but we lost.” I explained to her.
“But you got that great goal in the first period.” I didn't have the heart to tell that it didn't count. She sat now sat up on the couch so that I could sit next to her. "I’m sorry I missed the rest of the game, I tried.” She leaned in to give me a kiss.
“It’s fine. I know you had a long day.” I told her. She had classes then drove an hour to be here. “Come on let’s go to bed.” She stood up and yawned. I decided to scoop her in my arms and carry her to the bedroom.
“Jordan!” she screamed and flew her arms around my neck. I laid her down on my bed and kissed her passionately on the lips then left her to change out of my suit. She had pulled the covers down while I was changing so I crawled under the blankets and cuddled next her. She snuggled her head into my chest. “I missed you.” She said.
“I missed you too,” I kissed her forehead. Especially when I’m on the road. We shortly fell asleep.

I awoke in the morning to her lips pressing mine. What a lovely wakeup call! I kissed her back and rolled over so that I was on top. I quickly glanced at the clock, 5:28. Great we have time before I have to leave for practice. I had hoped to show her how much I loved her last night but we were both exhausted. It probably would have been a disaster. This is better any way. After we did it in the bed, we took a shower and did it there. God she was so beautiful! I dried her off and she left me to get ready for practice. So I took a real shower this time. I got dressed and walked the short distance to the kitchen. I discovered her in one of my t-shirts standing by the stove cooking me breakfast. I was turned on by the sight of her. “Good morning baby.” I kissed her neck then spun her around to meet her lips.
“Good morning. Do you want apple or orange juice this morning?”
“Apple but I’ll get it.” I kissed her cheek
“Can you pour me a glass as well, please?” she asked and I easily reached for the glasses out of the cupboard before grabbing the apple juice out of the fridge. My girl had the little grill running and was making French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. She always makes me this meal the first night she stays over, which is about once every 3 months or so.
“How’s school?” I asked her when I sat down at the island to eat.
“Stressful. Glad it is Easter break.” She replied and I didn’t ask her anything else. I knew this was her get away from it for the weekend.
“What would you like to do tonight?”
“Spend time with you.” She turned around and smiled at me.
“Stay in or go out?”
“Surprise me!” she then set a plate full of food in front of me and soon joined me with her plate.
“This looks delicious! Thank you!” I kissed her before we both ate.
“You’re welcome, sweetie,” We chit-chatted over breakfast. “What time do you think you’ll be done today?”
“I think around 12 or 1. Want me to pick up and we’ll go to a late lunch?”
“Sure babe.” I glanced at the clock again. It now read 7:11. I kissed her goodbye. “Have fun at practice! Tell the guys I said hi!” she smiled at me. She was so sweet. I kissed her one last time before leaving for 8-o-clock practice.

I arrived there about 20 minutes to 8. I parked the Cadillac near the gate and proceeded to the locker room.
“Morning guys!” I greeted them. There was Sidney Crosby, Max Talbot, Tyler Kennedy, Kris Letang, Marc-Andre Fleury, Evgeni Malkin, and Pascal Dupuis. “Lys says hi.”
“Did she wait up for you?” Sid asked me.
“No, she was asleep on the couch. I walked into the replay of the game and immediately turned that off.” We laughed. “But no worries she woke me up at 5:28 this morning.” I smiled big.
“What did you do at 5:30 this morning?” Max teased with me.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” I told him but they all knew what happened. Lys and I have been together almost a year now. Unfortunately I do not know if I will be able to spend our anniversary together. Now that you mention it, I don’t know if I’ll be able to attend her college graduation. We are definitely going to the playoffs but I’m not sure of the schedule yet. So we will have to wait and see. I shook the thought out of my head and finished getting ready and met everyone on the ice at 8.

Practice was long and tiring but I couldn’t wait to take my baby out to lunch! I called her before I left the arena to tell her I was on my way. She said she’d be ready. And she was when I pulled up she ran out of the apartment. She wore her ballet flats, dark wash jeans with a greens shirt and a pink camisole underneath. It was a just the being of spring so she wore a purple American Eagle hoodie. She sat in the car and leaned over to kiss me before I pulled out on to the street.
“Hey darling, how was practice?” she asked.
“It was long and tiresome but good!” I replied.
“Aww I’m glad. How are the guys?”
“Good…Max was giving me a hard time.” She laughed.
“Oh Max, always the joker,” I thought for a moment.
“Come to think of it, I think he was the Joker from Batman this Halloween.” Lys started howling.
“Oh that’s right he was!” She remembered the party we attended at Mario’s. We shortly pulled into Panera Bread to go to lunch, one of Lys’ favorite restaurants. “Do they have Cream of Chicken and Wild Rice soup?” she scanned the menu. “Aww man.” She ended up order the pick two, Frontega Chicken Sandwich and Chicken noodle soup with a baguette. I ordered the pick two as well but the Sierra Turkey with a Greek Salad and apple. We both got lemonades to drink. I took out my wallet to pay but she beat me to the punch.
“Thank you babe.” And I kissed her on the cheek. I saw our cashier’s expression sadden. I guess she recognized me. And then realized I have a lovely woman. We sat down in a booth in the middle of the restaurant and waited for our order to be called. When it buzzed I went up to retrieve our delicious food.
“Thanks.” We started to eat. “So I was thinking for my graduation, I just want to go out to eat with my family and you – of course- to Max and Erma’s in Monroeville, if you would like to come?”
“Baby, I would love to come but I don’t know about playoffs.”
“Oh yea that’s right the playoffs! Well don’t worry about my graduation if you have playoffs sweetie.”
“But I want to be there if I don’t have a game. I mean even if we have a home game I could probably make it to your graduation.”
“Sweetie your career comes first. Playoffs are an important time of year! Many people are counting on you. You can’t let the fans of Pittsburgh down.” She smiled at me.
“I love you so much.” I told her and leaned across the table to kiss her on the lips.
“I love you too. I knew going into this relationship we’d have to make sacrifices. And I love being with you so I don’t want us to change.” She is the best thing that could ever happen to me. She is so understanding with my schedule, the road trips and adoring fans. I really want to do something for her after the season is over. “Whatcha thinking about?”
“You.” I made her blush. I love seeing her blush, especially when her ears turn red.
“And how we should take a trip after the season is over, just me and you.”
“Sounds wonderful! We’ll have to see though, depends on where I find a job.” My baby wants to work in the music industry. She wants to promote bands and eventually own her own record label. I could totally see myself with her the rest of my life. My thoughts were interrupted when a fan approached us.
“Excuse me but are you Jordan Staal?” the girl could not have been older than 13 and she was shaking profoundly.
“Yes I am, would you like an autograph?” she nodded her head and hand me a napkin.
“Oh sweetie, hold on!” My girl got out of the booth. “Please sit, I’ll be right back.” She grabbed my keys that were sitting on the seat and headed out to the car. The girl sat there and looked so nervous.
“How are you?” I started to make conversation.
“I’m good. How are you?”
“Ah, kinda tired. It was a long practice today.”
“Yea that was brutal game.” Lys came back with an 8x10 picture of me in my black jersey staking on the ice during a Redwing game. It was one of the pictures she has taken.
“Sign this for her babe.” I smiled at her, told you she was the best.
“What’s your name?”
“Kaitlyn. K-A-I-T-L-Y-N” she spelled for me.
“I have a cousin with that name.” Lys told the fan. I wrote. ‘To Kaitlyn, the biggest penguins fan. Thanks for the support. Love Jordan.” The girl thanked me and got up to leave. “Oh wait dear would you like a picture with him?” She is such the promoter.
“I don’t have a camera.”
“Don’t worry Kaitlyn, Lys always has her camera.”
“He is right.” The girl set the picture down on the table and I stood up to get a picture. I was basically towering over her so I leaned down some. “Cute! Kaitlyn could you please give me your email so I can send you the picture.”
“I can give you my mom’s.” she ran back over to where her mom was and came back with a business card. “Thank you for the picture and autograph Jordan, good luck in tomorrow’s game!” I gave the girl a hug before she ran over to her mom again.
“That was so sweet of you. Where did you get the picture?”
“Oh I hid a stack in your car for occasions like this.” She smirked that means that I will not know where they are. She finished up her lunch before we made our way to the door. We were stopped by the girl’s mother.
“Thank you so much for taking the time to talk to her.”
“Pleasures all mine ma’am.” I smiled at her and took Lys’ hand as we walked back to the Cadillac. “Do you know how wonderful you are?” I asked her.
“Me? I’m not wonderful. I’m just a girl who is madly in love with her boyfriend-oh I love this song!” I laughed as she turned the radio up. “Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy…” she sang the Ke$ha ‘Tik Tok’ song. Just then I heard my phone go off. She reached over and looked at who the message was from, “TK, may I read it to you?” I nodded. “Hey the guys are going bowling, you and Lys in?”
“Do you want to go?” I asked her.
“Sure! I haven’t been bowling in a long time. I’ll text him back asking for the details.” As she did this I pulled into the parking garage. We climbed out of the car and headed into the apartment. “He said 9-o-clock at Playmor lanes.”
“Awesome. We have some time.”
“To do what?”

P.S. In the title (if you haven't figured it out) stands for Jordan Staal. So that's the main character in the story follow by the title and then chapter. I might do this format with any story I post. :)

Welcome

Hey everyone! Welcome to a new blog that I am starting. I enjoy writing fanfictions and I thought I'd try my hand at writing sports fanfictions. This one is going to be all about the Pittsburgh Penguins. Now I might have more than one story going up here so pay attention :)
Of course I hope you enjoy them! Comments are always welcomed!
