Hey does anyone even read these things?! Should I stop putting them in here? Enjoy this next chapter.

“Hey be ready I’m going to pick you up and we are going to see the arch.” I called her after practice. I took the car back there and noticed her waiting outside. She looked so cute in her jeans and t-shirt. Not to mention she wore chucks but this time green ones so that she could match her pink top.
“Hey how was practice?” she got in the car.
“It was good, I didn’t skate.” She gave me a quizzical look. “I need to get some of my muscles massaged.”
“Jealous! I want a massage.” She laughed. We shortly arrived at the arch. “Wow this is just incredible!” she beamed. I was happy that she was happy. We got out and looked around. Took a few pictures by the arch. “Oh hey Sidney wouldn’t it be cool to do this.” She pointed to the sign that read something about a haunted tour.
            “That would be cool.”
“I know but I would get so scared! I scare easily.” She confessed. If she were really scared then that means she would hang onto me!
“Let’s do it!” she looked over at me. “I think it will be fun.” We read the sign more.
            “It’s in Illinois.”
“That’s fine we can have a car take us.” She smiled. We called the number and reserved tickets for that evening! “Let’s go get dinner before we head out there.” She agreed.
We arrived at the Haunted Minerals Tour at 630. The tour didn’t start until 7. As we walked around the location, which was some kind of mall, people started to whisper. Then one guy came up to me asked me if I was indeed Sidney Crosby and I told him yes. I thought he was going to faint. Well at least we got that out of the way so that we can enjoy the tour. Just then our tour guide came out of the building.
“Wow, you really are Sidney Crosby! I just thought it was a name goof!” he said and shook my hand. “I’m Scott your tour guide.” He smiled at Lys. Back off mister! She is mine. “Let’s get you guys situated and start the tour!” Lys got her camera ready. “Ok Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the tour! We are going to be here in the hotel. But this was not always a hotel it used to be a known as Laurel family meat packing company from 1881-1910. Then when they were adding on to the building they came across a spring. So being businessmen as they were, the family decided to open a hotel. In 1914 the Mineral Spring hotel opened. It ran from 1910-1971. As it got older things started to fall apart so the city of Alton condemned it. The building was remolded and reopened as the Mineral Springs Antique mall. Since then people have been discovering paranormal activity. Here let’s get started! Follow me.” Lys already was holding onto my hand. Scott led us to a staircase. “This is the grand staircase. As legend” he paused “fact have it, in the 1920s a young lady was staying at the hotel. She was enjoying the pool, the spring, her room and the company of a man –who was not her husband. When her husband found out he came to the hotel stormed up the room and found them together. The woman ran out of the room, her husband chased her and they got to the top of these stairs.” He pointed behind him. “The young lady fell or got pushed by her husband. Either way, she tumbled down the stairs and landed right here at bottom. She broke her neck and died instantly. Now the husband after seeing this goes back to the room and either hung himself or shot himself but either way he died.” Now Lys was practically hugging me.
“We can stop.” I whispered to her.
“No it’s okay, just don’t leave me.”
“I promise I will always be by your side.”
“Many people have seen sightings of a lady in white. They even seen someone fall down the stairs and run to catch them but no one is there. They have also smelt the scent of a woman’s perfume.” He let us linger on that thought as we walked up the stairs and into a room upstairs. He explained that this was the room the affair was taking place. You can smell perfume and some cigars. Next he took us to the suicide room where you can hear all these knocking and scratches on the walls. Scott told us that people have even got voices on recorders. As we continued the tour Lys seemed to shake. I kissed her cheek and told we didn’t have to go on. But she insisted. We were taken down into the men’s pool, the actual pool and held an séance. Now I may be superstitious but I think that séance don’t normally work. However, that night my view was completely changed. We heard all kind of noises and a one voice in particular. Lys was almost in my lap during the whole. And on the car ride she stuck to my like glue. Mission accomplished. We arrived back at the hotel and I brought her to my room.
“Can you believe that – what was that?”
“It was just me putting the seat down.” I called from the bathroom. “Boy you really do scare easily.” She nodded. I slid into bed with her and held her close. I am falling more for this girl every second. What is wrong with me?

We woke up bright and early the next morning.
“Sleep well?” I asked her.
“Marvelous, but then again I always do when I am next to you.” She was sweet. I just kissed her on the lips. We kissed like that until it was time to go. I dropped her off in her room on my way to morning skate. I greeted the guys.
“What you do last night? Or should we be saying who now?” Max asked me. I couldn’t tell if he was just teasing me or being serious.
“Lys and I went on a ghost tour, it was pretty awesome!” I told them. Kris was the only one who seemed happy for me! We all had a pretty good skate. I was happy to see her face during the game day interview. She was just too cute in her professional attire. “Hey babe” I pulled her into hug as soon as the media left.
“Good practice, I am excited for the game!” she cooed in my ear.
“Hey Sid, do you want to grab some lunch-oh hey Alyssa, you may come too.” Kris asked. She glanced at me.
“I don’t want to intrude.”
“Nonsense, you are not. I am inviting you.”
“Okay then, thank you.” I smiled I was happy to be spending time with her and that Kris wanted to get to know her. We all went back to the hotel and just ate in the restaurant.
“So are you enjoying the trip?” Kris asked Lys.
“I am enjoying it very much. It must be hard on yinz because you travel so much. I bet it gets tedious sometimes?”
“Yea it can but we always have a good time.”
“Do you have a favorite city to play in, besides your home town?”
“I do like going to Washington and playing the capitals but my favorite town would be New York City.”
“No way! Me too! I love the city that never sleeps!” then her and Kris started talking about their favorite places around the city. It was nice that they were getting along. We finished up lunch and went to go get ready for the game.

St. Louis had aquired a new goalie by the of Jarslov Halak. The same person who shut us out of the playoffs last year. Him and Mike Cameralli of the Montreal Canadians. He was a good goalie and I prayed that we could put one past him early on. But that was not the case. The game ended up in overtime. And it was almost headed to a shootout when Johnson let one pass. We were shut out by Halak again. I was bummed but you can never get too down. After the interviews, I went back to Alyssa’s room.
“Hey why don’t we order some room service? I’m craving ice cream.” She smiled at me. We ordered some ice cream and a watched a movie before we fell asleep.

In the morning we boarded a plane bounded for Tampa Bay. The warm air would be nice especially since Pittsburgh is getting colder. We would have afternoon practice and then Monday off before the game on Tuesday. I wondered what Lys would like to since we have the whole day together.
